The cauliflower soup is inspired by a recipe in Alice Waters’ book The Art of Simple Food. Locally-grown cauliflower from Sunrise Farm was available at the farmer’s market this past weekend, so I grabbed a head. It’s one of my favorite vegetables, and I don’t know why I don’t use it more often. And the grilled goat cheese sandwich is truly “grilled.” (No, not on an outdoor grill, but on a grill pan on top of the stove. Of course, if you were serving a crowd, you could use the outdoor grill.)
