I am a fan of “one-dish’ meals (and this is another one of them with just a little extra to accompany). Cauliflower is the “star” of this menu and baked with a traditional cheese sauce and crumb topping. In order to provide a foil to the rich cream and cheese sauce in the main dish, I wilted a slightly bitter green vegetable. And after these components, you need a “sweet touch” at the end of the meal…thus the dessert suggestion.
