Spring weather has not been at all typical in the Washington, D.C., area. One of the warmest March months ever has now led to an April that registers at the 80 degree mark one day and then barely exceeds the 60 degree mark the next day. Such was the case today. Cool, rainy, and damp, this was a perfect day for a spring soup. And yes, I know I presented a soup menu just a couple of days ago, but a good soup is welcome (in my book), almost any day.
